Trysittr Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Trysittr website, mobile application, and related services.
Last Updated: June 2, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Trysittr website, mobile application, and related services.
Trysittr Inc. (“Trysittr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a platform that connects families with verified student helpers for services such as babysitting, petsitting, and tutoring. Trysittr also supports students and partner schools with booking tools, messaging, payments, reviews, reporting, verification, and service hour tracking.
By accessing or using Trysittr, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use Trysittr.
1. Eligibility
You may use Trysittr only if you are legally able to agree to these Terms or have the required permission from a parent, guardian, school, or other authorized person.
Users may include parents, guardians, student helpers, school administrators, and other approved users.
Student helpers under the age of majority may be required to obtain parental, guardian, or school approval before using certain features.
Trysittr may refuse, restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we believe a user does not meet our eligibility requirements or has violated these Terms.
2. User Roles
Trysittr supports different types of users.
Parents and Guardians
Parents and guardians may search for student helpers, send booking requests, communicate through the platform, make payments, leave reviews, and report concerns.
Student Helpers
Student helpers may create profiles, list services, set availability, accept bookings, provide services, earn income, track paid or volunteer hours, receive reviews, and manage their schedules.
Schools and Administrators
Schools and administrators may review student participation, approve or reject student helpers, monitor activity, access reports, and support student involvement.
3. Accounts
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating or updating your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access and for all activity under your account.
You must not:
- Create a fake account
- Impersonate another person
- Share your account access with others
- Use another person’s account
- Provide false or misleading information
- Attempt to bypass verification or safety controls
Trysittr may use one-time passcodes, identity checks, school approval, guardian approval, or other verification methods.
4. Student Verification and School Approval
Trysittr may display verification badges, school affiliation, approval status, or other indicators based on information provided by users, schools, or verification partners.
Verification, approval, or badges do not guarantee that a student helper is suitable for every booking. Parents and guardians are responsible for reviewing profiles, communicating expectations, assessing suitability, and deciding whether to proceed with a booking.
Schools may approve student participation, but Trysittr is not a school, employer, childcare agency, guardian, or supervisor.
5. Bookings
Parents may send booking requests through Trysittr. A booking is confirmed only when it is accepted through the platform, and any required payment steps are completed.
Users agree to provide accurate booking details, including date, time, location, service type, expectations, instructions, emergency information, and any safety-related details.
Student helpers should accept only bookings they can complete safely, responsibly, and on time.
Trysittr may cancel, pause, review, or restrict bookings if we believe there is a safety, payment, fraud, policy, or platform concern.
6. Payments, Fees, and Payouts
Parents agree to pay the booking amount, service fees, applicable taxes, and any other charges shown before confirmation.
Student helpers may receive payouts for completed bookings, subject to payment processor rules, Trysittr policies, refund policies, dispute and chargeback policies, verification requirements, and applicable law.
Trysittr may change pricing, fees, payment rules, or payout rules at any time, with notice where required by Canadian law.
7. Cancellations, Refunds, and Disputes
Cancellation and refund rules may depend on the timing of cancellation, booking status, service type, user conduct, and Trysittr policy.
Trysittr may review user disputes, but we are not required to resolve every disagreement in a specific way.
Trysittr may issue refunds, partial refunds, credits, payout adjustments, or account restrictions at its discretion, subject to applicable Canadian law and payment processor rules.
8. In-App Communication
Users should communicate through Trysittr when discussing bookings, scheduling, instructions, pricing, safety concerns, or disputes.
You must not use Trysittr communications to:
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or exploit another user
- Send spam or misleading messages
- Request unsafe, illegal, or inappropriate activity
- Share private information without permission
- Move bookings or payments off the platform to avoid fees
- Circumvent Trysittr’s safety, payment, or reporting systems
Trysittr may review communications where needed for safety, support, moderation, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or platform protection.
9. User Conduct
You agree to use Trysittr responsibly and lawfully.
You must not:
- Provide false, misleading, or incomplete information
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against, abuse, exploit, or harm another person
- Request, offer, or provide illegal, unsafe, or inappropriate services
- Misuse student information, school information, reviews, reports, or verification badges
- Interfere with platform security, payments, or operations
- Upload harmful code, spam, or malicious content
- Scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or misuse Trysittr’s platform
- Move bookings or payments outside Trysittr to avoid platform fees
- Violate any applicable Canadian law, regulation, school rule, or third-party right
10. Safety
Trysittr provides safety-related tools, including verification features, reviews, reporting, blocking, platform messaging, school approval tools, and support channels.
However, users remain responsible for their own decisions, conduct, environment, and safety.
Parents and guardians are responsible for selecting student helpers, providing clear instructions, preparing the service location, sharing emergency information, and determining whether a helper is appropriate for their family.
Student helpers are responsible for acting responsibly, staying within their abilities, following booking instructions, arriving on time, and seeking help when needed.
11. Reviews and Ratings
Users may leave honest reviews and ratings after bookings.
Reviews must be truthful, respectful, and based on real experiences. Trysittr may remove, restrict, or moderate reviews that are false, abusive, discriminatory, private, misleading, irrelevant, or otherwise inappropriate.
12. Service Hours and School Reporting
Student helpers may use Trysittr to track paid or volunteer service hours.
Schools may use dashboards, reports, or exports to review student participation. Trysittr does not guarantee that any hours will be accepted for school credit, volunteer requirements, graduation requirements, community service requirements, or other programs. Approval depends on the school or applicable authority.
13. Independent Users
Student helpers are independent users of the Trysittr platform. They are not employees, agents, partners, representatives, or contractors of Trysittr unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Trysittr provides the platform. Users are responsible for their own actions, services, communications, commitments, taxes, and legal obligations.
14. Taxes
Users are responsible for any taxes, reporting, filings, deductions, remittances, or obligations related to payments, earnings, services, or use of Trysittr.
Trysittr may provide transaction records or reports, but users are responsible for seeking their own tax advice where needed.
15. App Stores
If you download Trysittr through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app store, your use may also be subject to that store’s terms and policies.
The app store provider is not responsible for Trysittr’s services, support, claims, or user activity.
16. Intellectual Property
Trysittr owns or has rights to the website, app, platform, software, branding, design, logos, content, features, systems, and related materials.
You may not copy, modify, sell, license, distribute, reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse Trysittr’s technology, branding, content, or platform without written permission.
Users retain ownership of the content they submit, including profile information, messages, photos, reviews, and service details. By submitting content to Trysittr, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, display, reproduce, modify, moderate, and distribute that content as needed to operate, improve, promote, and protect the platform.
17. Account Suspension or Termination
Trysittr may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if we believe that you have:
- Violated these Terms
- Provided false or misleading information
- Created a safety risk
- Misused the platform
- Failed verification
- Interfered with payments or security
- Harmed another user or Trysittr
- Violated applicable law or third-party rights
You may stop using Trysittr at any time. Some information may be retained after account closure for legal, safety, payment, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or fraud-prevention reasons.
18. Disclaimers
Trysittr works to provide a safe and useful platform, but we do not guarantee that every user, booking, service, review, school approval, or interaction will meet your expectations.
Trysittr does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the website or app.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trysittr provides the platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trysittr’s total liability for any claim will be limited to the amount paid by you to Trysittr for the booking or service giving rise to the claim, or CAD $100, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those cases, the limitation will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
20. Indemnity
